It might be hard to tell from reading the past year’s headlines, but not all banks are evil. We know of one bank in particular whose goal is to do good.
ShoreBank, based in Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland, has made it their mission to invest in deserving people the other banks have forgotten, and to revitalize underserved urban neighborhoods. ”We believe that character matters as much as credit, and that people matter as much as profit.” They’ve also stepped in to save a lot of people from the current mortgage crisis.
This week, Digital Pulp helped ShoreBank launch a new website, so the bank can reach more people with their unique mission. We sincerely wish them the best of luck. Check out the new site — and open a savings account! — at http://www.sbk.com.
